May 2020 Primary Ballot Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Where are the Presidential candidates for the Democratic Party?
A: The Presidential Candidates for the Democratic Party are located in the lower left hand corner of the front page of your ballot.
Q: I’m being told to vote for more PCPs than there are listed candidates. What do I do?
A: You can vote for zero, one, or as many PCP candidates as you like. Your ballot will still be valid.
Q: What do I do if I want to run for PCP as a write-in candidate?
A: If you want to run as a write-in candidate, then you will need three votes minimum to qualify. Persons voting for a write-in PCP candidate should write their name legibly (block letters are best!) on a line on the PCP candidates area and fill the circle next to the line. Write in candidates will need to fill out a form SEL-105D and return it to the Multnomah County Elections Division by 8PM May 19. https://sos.oregon.gov/elections/Documents/SEL105D.pdf
The Multnomah County Elections Division is at 1040 SE Morrison Street. You can also scan your SEL-105D and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: I have a different question about the ballot.
A: Your best bet is to contact the Multnomah County Elections Division. Their phone number is 503-988-VOTE. You can also email them at email@example.com or refer to their website at https://multco.us/elections
