Quality Education for ALL

I have spent the last decade focused on health education and reducing barriers to healthcare on the West Coast.  I grew up in rural Northern California and was the first in my family to pursue a bachelor’s degree. In working as the Maternal and Child Health Coordinator at 211info, I focus everyday on connecting families in Oregon with vital resources to work, learn, play, and thrive. I am running for Multnomah Education Service District Board to put students first and ensure that ALL children have access to the quality education they deserve.

Expanding opportunity for students

I understand that services like post-high school programs are essential to students’ economic future. I will fight to expand career and technical education, college readiness programs, and increase dropout prevention services.

“Katrina is the candidate I trust in advancing quality education for students in Multnomah County and beyond.  I know she will work hard to achieve our mission of supporting all students to achieve excellence.” – Siobhan Burke

School Health Service

I believe that all of our students deserve access to quality and comprehensive health services.

Standing up for vulnerable students

I will put vulnerable students and targeted populations first. I wants to ensure that students needing special education services and those involved in the juvenile systems receive safe and trauma informed education.
