You are probably feeling very excited about your run for office and perhaps a bit overwhelmed.

You may be concerned about fundraising, use of social media, and how you can use VAN for outreach to voters among other things.

You may be wondering where to get information and resources to run the best campaign to WIN!!!

The Democratic Party of Multnomah County is excited to provide you with campaign resources!

Resources are available to all Democrats in good standing who have filed for candidacy in the May 2019 Special Election.

We've put together candidate training just for you

  • 9-10 am Rules & Compliance – Jef Greene:
  • 10-11 am Messaging & Public Speaking – Jillian Schoene
  • 11-12 pm  Stories and Social Media: Connecting with Voters – Julie Clarke-Bush

Noon-1 pm No Host Lunch

  • 1-2 pm Candidate Experience – Christina Stephenson, Annette Mattson
  • 2-3 pm Field Organizing – Omar Cisneros
  • 3-4 pm VAN Training – Ron Morgan
  • 4-5 pm Fundraising – KC Hanson

Our Candidate Training Workshop is free to Democrats in good standing who have filed for office.

As the campaign season moves forward

  • We will point you to opportunities to participate in candidate forums in the community.
  • You are invited to attend Central Committee meetings of the Multnomah County Democratic Party in April and May to introduce yourself to Precinct Committee People and recruit volunteers for your campaign.
  • We will display your campaign signs in the windows of MCD HQ
